Laura Maria Paola Raimondo (Bruschetta)
Marco has roots from Puglia and Campania (province of Naples), while I, Laura, have Sicilian origins. We have been companions in adventures for more than 14 years, and among other things, we share a passion for Good Italian Cuisine. Marco has extensive experience as a Pizza Chef (more than 15 years), working with both wood-fired and electric ovens. My background, on the other hand, is scientific in the field of health, but since ‘good food is the first medicine’, the transition from pharmacy to the kitchen was quick! Five years ago, we opened La Bruschetta Pizza & Snack 1.0, a lovely tiny pizzeria by the seaside located in Portimão, Algarve, Portugal. After 3 years we succeed to move in a bigger place 100 meters further and we opened La Bruschetta Pizza & Snack 2.0. While many might fear that sharing their expertise could lead to their craft being ‘stolen,’ we see it differently. In our perspective, the act of teaching and sharing our knowledge in the field of traditional Italian Cuisine an Pizza is driven by a deep passion for our culture and culinary heritage. By teaching others, we can inspire a greater love for authentic Italian cuisine, ensuring that our traditions are preserved and celebrated.
